Performance Features
Kicking out 203 horsepower, the iconic Dynamic Force engine once again claims the spotlight on the 2023 Toyota RAV4's lineup. Some other proprietary mechanical technologies on this I-4 engine include the VVT-i, EFI, and D-4S Injection. Such exclusive features surely help the four-cylinder powertrain achieve a maximum torque output of 184 pound-feet. Installed on the Adventure and TRD Off-Road, the Multi-Terrain Select is an essential technology for any off-road trip. In addition to controlling four modes, the M-TS includes the Downhill Assist Control. Both Toyota crossover SUVs offer up to three on-road modes, including the Eco. Likewise, the Active Cornering Assist works well on paved roads. Furnished with 12-inch front disc brakes, these versatile models have a relatively short stopping distance on wet pavement. Controlled by a classic shifting lever, the Direct Shift automatic transmission system is fully calibrated for off-road and on-road driving. Both vehicles also run on the TV-AWD system, which disconnects the rear axles under some conditions. These adventurous cars have a standard 150-amp alternator and a fluid-filled cooling system for the gearbox. Such components enable a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 gross pounds.
Utility Features
Optional on the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Adventure and standard on the TRD Off-Road, the height-adjustable liftgate has anti-jam mechanisms for enhanced peace of mind. Similarly, a power-sliding sunroof is optional on the Adventure. Featuring one-touch closing and opening, this sunroof is already built into the TRD Off-Road. Both Toyota models have LED fog lamps that shine through thick fog. Raised for extra utility, black roof rails are standard on these adventure-seeking cars. Heated side mirrors and puddle lights are installed by default on the trim with the TRD badge. Some of the model's exclusive interior items include the SofTex seats with optional climate control. Additionally, this rugged Toyota model has red accents throughout the cabin.
Technology Features
Having an 8-inch screen design, the Toyota Multimedia Audio console stands inside the 2023 RAV4 Adventure. You'll get an upgrade to a 10.5-inch touchscreen inside the TRD Off-Road model. Both trims include wireless interfaces for Android devices and Apple iPhones. You could add an 11-speaker sound system with a subwoofer and digital amplifier to both models. Engineered by JBL, this powerful audio system plays music on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. You'll even get a one-year subscription to Drive Connect inside the RAV4 TRD Off-Road. Visiting new destinations will be accessible when you receive guidance from the Intelligent Assistant on the road. Both crossover SUVs come with an entire decade of Service Connect and Safety Connect subscriptions. Designed for enhanced visual awareness in the city, the Panoramic View Monitor is optional only on the TRD Off-Road edition.
