Running on unleaded gasoline, a 2.5-liter engine block propels the 2025 Toyota RAV4. The Toyota Direct Ignition initiates combustion in the four-cylinder powertrain. When operating at 6,600 RPM, the I-4 engine produces 203 net hp. This normally aspirated engine spits out 184 lb-ft of peak torque at 5,000 RPM. You'll also find the 2.5-L engine in the hybrid powerhouse. However, the I-4 engine kicks out a maximum of 176 hp at 5,300 RPM on the hybrid trims. Nevertheless, the electrified powertrain has a total output of 219 hp. Dual motors produce supplemental power for the Electronic On-Demand AWD system. If you activate the EV Mode, you'll completely disengage the gas engine. Regenerative brakes partially recharge the hybrid powertrain on this Toyota crossover SUV.
