The 2025 Toyota 4Runner harnesses nearly 280 net horsepower from a 2.4-L engine block, delivering impressive performance for drivers in O'Fallon. Having a twin-scroll layout, a powerful turbocharger supplements the I-4 engine. The D-4ST technology and a 12-V starter regulate combustion in the turbo engine. This direct-injected powerhouse releases approximately 320 pound-feet of torque. The conventional VVT-i technology enhances the signature i-FORCE engine. Generating 48 net hp, a compact motor is incorporated into the i-FORCE MAX system. This motor effortlessly unleashes 184 lb-ft of peak torque. A nickel-metal hydride battery forms the foundation of the hybrid powertrain. The hybrid engine generates approximately 330 hp when running on gasoline and electricity. The electrified propulsion system yields up to 465 lb-ft of torque. Both turbo engines are synchronized with the eight-speed ECT, which has the Sequential Shift capability. If you activate the Tow/Haul Mode, you can tow 6,000 gross pounds. With help from the Eco Mode, the 2025 4Runner gets a combined fuel economy of 23 mpg. Some trims run on a traditional 2WD system, which diverts all power to the rear wheels. The part-time 4WD distributes power to the front and rear wheels. You'll get maximum traction with the full-time 4WD, which has the Torsen differential. If you want a more luxurious ride, add the Adaptive Variable Suspension.
