Equipped with a 2.5-L engine, the 2024 Toyota RAV4 tows 3,500 pounds. This four-cylinder engine produces slightly more than 200 hp. Also running on the VVT-i technology, the I-4 engine delivers 184 lb-ft of torque. The RAV4 taps into approximately 220 net hp from a hybrid system. Depending on the trim, the hybrid powerplant comes with a lithium-ion or nickel-metal hydride battery. The electrified system works well with the Electronic On-Demand AWD. Otherwise, the gas-powered models are available with the Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD. Such a versatile drivetrain is compatible with the Multi-Terrain Select, which includes four driving modes and the Downhill Assist Control. Even the hybrid trims have the Trail Mode for an enhanced off-road experience.
