Toyota Camry Performance Features

Performance Features

The 2024 Toyota Camry retains the renowned Dynamic Force technology under the hood. Depending on the trim, the standard 2.5-liter engine delivers 206 net horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. High-end models tap into 301 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque from a 3.5-L engine. Rated at 208 net hp, a hybrid powertrain is available for this midsize Toyota sedan. Such an efficient engine includes an 88-kW motor and 259-V battery pack with lithium-ion chemistry. The 2024 Toyota Crown gets up to 236 hp from a standard hybrid powertrain. Such an entry-level powertrain includes a nickel-metal hydride battery and dual electric motors. Key ratings of the Ni-MH battery include 230.4 V and 5.0 Ah. Engineered for even better performance, the HYBRID MAX powertrain is available for the 2024 Crown. This enhanced propulsion system generates 340 hp and 400 lb-ft. Such a high-end powerplant is paired with the Direct Shift automatic transmission, which makes six gear speeds. Otherwise, the Crown's standard hybrid system is synced with an electronic CVT. Similarly, the Camry hybrid models run on the ECVT. The non-hybrid Camry editions have the eight-speed Direct Shift gearbox. This premium midsize sedan offers the Dynamic Torque Control AWD for optimal traction. The Crown offers an AWD with Electronic On-Demand or Full Time Electronic configurations.
